(Nashville, Tennessee) Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office Reserve Deputy Mark Vaughan was named the National Rifle Association’s Officer of the Year today. Vaughan was recognized at the association’s annual meeting in Nashville, Tennessee. Sheriff John Whetsel was also on hand for the event.
Vaughan saved countless lives in Moore, Oklahoma when he was notified about a man attacking people at Vaughan Foods where Mark serves as an executive. Vaughan responded and stopped the suspect by shooting him.
